In the latest issue of Straßenverkehrstechnik (issue 4/2025), Nicol Wiens, expert at our project partner TEQYARD, presents the concept behind the AIAMO Integration Zone.

The Integration Zone is a scalable, overarching and neutral system that acts as a central interface, seamlessly linking diverse systems.  It connects a variety of data environments via standardised APIs – from the Mobilithek and the Mobility Data Space to local environmental, traffic and weather sensors – creating a unified, interoperable environment for accessing  distributed mobility data.

Through highly automated updates and standardised versioning, the data remains consistently reliable –a crucial foundation for use in AI models and analytical processes. This ensures reproducible, transparent results that meet the highest quality standards. The comprehensive data integration enabled by the Integration Zone lays the groundwork for deploying powerful AI models capable of optimising traffic and environmental management to an unprecedented level.
