AIAMO in dialogue: New mCAST podcast episode on intermodal mobility

What does it take for people to get from A to B easily using different modes of transport? Episode 18 of the innovation podcast mCAST is all about the vision of intelligently networked mobility. A central topic: How can mobility services be thought of and designed along the actual user journey?

Guests include Markus Wartha, President of ITS Germany e.V. and consortium leader in the AIAMO research project. He emphasises: "Intermodality can only be successfully implemented if mobility is consistently planned with the user in mind. This requires systems that link different modes of transport not only technically, but also in a data-based and a demand-oriented manner.

In an interview with moderators Johanna Drumann and Felix Schneider, Markus Wartha explains the role artificial intelligence plays in the AIAMO project - for example in analysing traffic flows, dynamically managing mobility services and developing digital tools for local municipalities and mobility providers.

Also in the episode: Markus Klose from HTW Dresden on technological approaches and networked solutions. Together, the guests outline how mobility can become smarter, more flexible and, above all, more people-centred - and what it will take to make this vision a reality.
