AIAMO makes traffic and environmental data utilisable: traffic flows can be controlled in real time, traffic light cycles are dynamically adjusted, and environmental data is directly incorporated into decisions – measurable benefits for citizens, administrations and businesses. In his article for Springer Professional | Smart Cities, Markus Wartha, President of ITS Germany and consortium leader in the AIAMO research project, describes how artificial intelligence is transforming urban mobility management.
At the same time, AIAMO opens up new opportunities for businesses: standardised data and the editionAIAMO development environment enable fast, secure and scalable innovations – for new mobility solutions, services or business models.
The article clearly shows that AI is not a futuristic technology, but is already being put into practice in innovative German cities.
