A new expert article by Dr. rer. nat. Christine Langhanns, Head of Data Analytics at rms GmbH, has been published in the Kommune Digital Forum. The article explains why public transport data is a key component of environmentally-sensitive mobility management and how it is used in AIAMO for analyses and AI applications.
The focus is on timetable data, real-time information and actual operational data. These form the basis for a nuanced assessment of service quality, accessibility and operational processes. In AIAMO, this data is linked to other sources via the AIAMOnexus and processed for applications such as digital twins, simulations and AI-supported forecasts.
The article also highlights that robust analyses require high-quality data and the integration of various data sources. Only in this way can transport flows be realistically modelled and well-founded measures for environmentally sensitive mobility management be developed.
