Professional article in bfp Magazine: Better mobility decisions with AIAMO

In the article “Fleet management: Using AI from fines to decision-making”, Markus Wartha, AIAMO consortium leader, explains the project principle of “Decision Driven Data Making”: the starting point is always the specific decision that needs to be made. From this, the system determines which traffic and environmental data are required and how they should be processed for AI-supported analyses in order to provide the best possible decision support.

The article uses travel to RB Leipzig football matches as an example. A virtual model can be used to examine in advance how additional temporary bus stops would affect traffic flow and public transport capacity. The results can be incorporated into planning and routing recommendations.

Companies can also use the data basis developed in AIAMO for their own fleet management applications. This may include charging decisions in the face of fluctuating electricity prices, organising car-sharing schemes, or adapting routes to traffic volumes, costs or emissions.
