1. #AIAMOcamp
Our first AIAMOcamp took place on February 1st and 2nd. This was the first time that (almost) the entire consortium came together to exchange ideas, network and develop solutions together.
Even though we appreciate the possibility of online meetings in a Germany-wide research project, we still consider it essential to meet on site from time to time. This is why we have launched the AIAMOcamp event series. We would like to work on topics related to AIAMO in a barcamp format.
Day 1 AIAMOcamp:
Our AIAMOcamp started in a coworking space in Bonn with a small warm-up in the form of a bingo. This allowed the project partners to get into a relaxed conversation in order to make the subsequent discussions on technical topics more constructive. This was followed by a keynote speech on the topic of AI by Markus Wartha (President of the consortium leader ITS Germany e.V.), which highlighted the possibilities and benefits of AI.
Both days were divided into different phases. In order to get on the same page at the beginning, the project partners were met in the reality phase by the project management and with the help of Fraunhofer IML's accompanying scientific research, and the status quo of the work to date was presented. In the subsequent inspiration phase, lively discussions took place and the common picture of the overall project was further developed.
Of course, refreshments were also provided in the form of a delicious lunch break and various coffee breaks. The day concluded with a cozy get-together in the evening.
Day 2 AIAMOcamp:
The second day of the AIAMOcamp took place at the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport in Bonn. A short speech by Markus Wartha recalled the results of the previous day. Small groups then worked on more in-depth results from the output of the first day. The main aim was to present AIAMO use cases. This approach meant that all participants were able to contribute and a wide range of ideas could be discussed.
We can look back on two productive days that have brought the consortium forward in terms of people and content, and look forward to a 2nd AIAMOcamp!
