Dr Geißler describes Landau's role as an AIAMO pilot region and the testing of AI-based solutions in real traffic situations – from environmentally sensitive traffic control and digital twins to adaptive traffic light systems.
He also explains how AIAMOnexus consolidates different data to make predictions and support decisions in environmentally sensitive mobility management. The goals include smoother traffic flow, shorter waiting times and reduced environmental impact.
Looking ahead, Dr Geißler emphasises the full implementation of AIAMO – as well as other AI and administrative projects – as a key priority within the city of Landau's digitalisation strategy.
