4th AIAMOcamp - Two years of AIAMO and a strong signal for the mobility of the future
The fourth AIAMOcamp took place in July 2025 - a milestone with double significance: it not only marked the second birthday of AIAMO - Artificial Intelligence and MObility, but also impressively demonstrated how an ambitious vision can become the basis for future, AI-supported, sustainable mobility management.
Together with representatives of our 13 project partners, it became clear: What began two years ago now forms the framework for a dynamic, intelligent overall system consisting of many building blocks - technologically sound, structurally anchored and strategically aligned.
A new venture with energy, enthusiasm and a pioneering spirit
In intensive sessions, creative formats and informal discussions, the dynamism of the project was not only visible - it was clearly tangible. The camp showed how technological developments, data infrastructure and implementation perspectives intertwine.
Or as Markus Wartha, President of ITS Germany e.V. and consortium leader of AIAMO, summarized the 4th AIAMOcamp:
- The results: #exceptional
- The atmosphere: #fabulous
- The motivation: #super
Just #AIAMO!
Shaping progress - structured, scalable, European
The focus of the 4th AIAMOcamp was on the joint further development of central project strands:
AIAMO is making an impact: In workshops and discussions, we have made concrete progress in the further development of AIAMOnexus - as a central data infrastructure that networks and processes mobility data with AI support and makes it available for smart applications.
Preparing for transfer - making AIAMOitip tangible: The new AIAMOitip transfer phase was strategically prepared at the camp: with clear steps for the structured transfer of research results into marketable, interoperable applications - both technically and organizationally.
Thinking together from a European perspective: Emil Berlin's (ERTICO - ITS Europe) contribution sharpened the focus on European mobility projects. Together they discussed how AIAMO can have a Europe-wide impact with leadership, consulting expertise and scalable governance structures - beyond the project itself.
A strong network for mobility with a future
What sets AIAMO apart is the interplay of expertise, innovative strength and a shared attitude. The fourth camp was an expression of this energy - and a sign of what the project community is capable of.
Thanks to our partners for their commitment to the project:
T-Systems International, Fraunhofer IML, UFZ, DLR, Bosch, highQ, FKFS, TEQYARD, Theis Consult, SWARCO, Schlothauer & Wauer and ITS Germany.
A clear direction for the next stage
The coming project year will point the way forward. With concrete goals, resilient structures and a clear European perspective, AIAMO is taking the next step - and is already shaping the future today.
Because AIAMO is more than just a research project:
It is an enabler. A driving force. And a strong signal for the mobility of the future.
